What is Hawkins on Fire looking for?

At Hawkins on Fire we love a positive, “can do” attitude from people who are self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work without direct and constant supervision. We pride ourselves on quality customer care so having good communication skills with a strong customer focus is a must.

Depending on the role, employees require a current ACMA licence and a current drivers licence (manual). Our core value is to be there for our clients when they need us, so staff need to be available for after-hours calls on a rostered basis. It is also beneficial to have:

  • Fire industry experience
  • An electrical trade qualification
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards and the BCA
  • A current Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing (CPP20511) or higher and/or Fire Protection Association Australia FPAS accreditation

Our multi-skilled technicians work in inspection and testing, fault finding, general repairs, minor works and installation projects across fire detection, warning and exit and emergency lighting. So people who thrive on the technical challenge and want to further grow and enhance their technical skills will feel right at home.

All new HOF employees must pass a pre-employment medical inclusive of drug and alcohol testing along with industry required Police Checks.
