About Hawkins On Fire
Hawkins On Fire is a Fire Protection Services provider that has been taking care of the Northern Rivers of NSW for 20 years.
100% locally owned and operated, today we are the leading fire safety provider in the region. Our highly trained and experienced team of fire safety technicians provide inspection, testing, maintenance, modification and installation services across the North Coast, from Tweed Heads down to Coffs Harbour and out west to the Great Divide.
Our History
Hawkins On Fire was established by our founding director David Hawkins in 2004. With over 25 years of fire industry experience, David established the business on the principles of safety and good old-fashioned country service.
Starting out as the sole employee, today the Hawkins On Fire team has expanded to nearly 20 staff whose professions range from fire technicians, electricians, sprinkler fitters to fire trainers, estimators, finance, customer service and administration support. This business growth has occurred organically and is a testament to David’s commitment to fire safety and the community. Further, Hawkins now boasts 3 generations of the Hawkins Family, aiming to continue the legacy that David Hawkins started over 20 years ago.

These services fulfil the requirements of Australian Standard 1851, which assists the building owner in carrying out their obligations to the local council, NSW Fire Brigade, NSW EPA and their insurance company.
Hawkins On Fire provides a Yearly Condition Report on a building fire assets, under AS 1851 and can arrange for the services of an Accredited Practitioner (Fire Safety) – formerly known as a Competent Fire Safety Practitioner (CFSP) – to endorse a building’s Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS).
